Dior 'Birds of Paradise' SS13 Makeup collection

Evening all!

I hope everyone is having a lovely week, tomorrow is friday woohoo and that means this weekend is EUROVISION weekend! It's my not so guilty pleasure to enjoy it and i am yet to meet a person who hates it.....Please do not judge! Bonnie Tyler i wish you luck from one Welshie (and ex resident of Swansea) to another Welshie.

Yesterday the lovely Doreen came down to Cardiff to enjoy a day in the sun! Doreen i hope you enjoyed Cardiff Bay and Cardiff! We had a lot of fun doing the walking route across the bay to Penarth and even played in the Adidas Olympic sport park! Adidas if you're reading please can you install one in my garden? Thanks!

An impressive jump right? I thank my good friend Isabel Marant ;)

Doreen- Fronting the next Hermes X Adidas Campaign ;)

During our little outing we made a little visit to the Dior beauty counter to look at the new SS13 collection Birds of Paradise.

Now, I'm not the biggest Dior makeup fan as i am loyal to Chanel, However after buying the limited edition Dior X Harrods nail polish i was pretty impressed with the quality of the nail polish and loved the peacock concept behind this collection. So why not ay?

The collection is full of rich blues and pinks and even has an amazing BB bronzer limited for the summer.

I went for the 2 sets of nail polish (a pack of 2 nail polishes for £22) which are also limited edition.

I really really love the colours, they have been paired so well, and you only need 2 light coats! Perfect! This collection is perfect but having played with the Chanel collection (due end of may) i am still a Chanel girl and can't wait to play around with the new vibrant eyeliners!

What do you guys think of the collection? Does anyone have a preferred makeup brand or nail polish brand they like to use?

Thanks for reading guys!

Lots of love

3.1 Philip Lim Pashli

Evening everyone :)

I hope everyone is having a lovely bank holiday weekend! The weather is absolutely perfect, but I'm still I'm my dark colour funk, I really need a good shopping trip to fill my wardrobe with some summer goodness ;) (any excuse to shop right?!).

What has everyone been up to this weekend? I have been working this bank holiday, but next bank holiday I'm off and I'll be watching Muse at the emirates stadium....eeeeeeek! I've lost count now of how many muse gigs I've been to but I'm sure it's close to 21! The new material isn't the best, but you cannot fault the old music and their ability to play music live!

Now back to some serious fashion business! The Philip Lim Pashli has been on my radar for quite some time now. I stupidly missed out on the forest green in the Matches Christmas sale. But not one to dwell on things missed out, I moved on and carried on and waited for the right one for me. The Pashli is this years must have bag, it's sold out practically everywhere, so when you miss a colour or size you really do have to wait around for the next perfect bag and me being on the whole "sensible classic" bag purchase mantra, I really wanted to get it right.

My wardrobe recently had the S/S 13 drop of the lim (argh the whole collection is to die for!) and the bags went instantly, and of course I hadn't been paid so I missed out again on a bright yellow and black in medium. they only had the large Shark which is too big for myself.

Now the bag gods were truly on my side, I woke up at 2:30 in the morning (monday) to go to the loo and I have a habit of checking my phone and emails before going back go sleep (anyone else do that?!) and noticed the Brand Alley email with the designer bag sale.....I honestly thought I was being delusional and half asleep when I saw the Shark affect Pashli at £375 in the medium and instantly went to checkout with it. It was a no brainer! The best thing was it wasn't a long wait for the bag either (because BA get the clear to sell discount brands they often sell it and then have the shipment come later but the longest you wait is 30 but means its a super bargain!) and it was delivered by Friday!

So introducing my baby Lim shark effect medium Pashli.......

The quality of the bag is brilliant, I can't fault it. The leather is nice and it keeps shape nicely. I am excited to use it this week. I would definitely recommend a medium for people who like normal size bags, the straps come with enough space to puncture more wholes for the desired satchel effect. The large is definitely a more luggage travel size. I would also recommend the mini Pashli too....because its so damn cute ;)

Here some in action through bloggers and celebs.....

What do you guys think of the bag?! Is Philip Lim onto a classic bag?

Thanks for reading guys!

Lots of love
